Verizon: Using your phone outside of the US

When you’re ready to use your phone internationally please make sure you have data roaming turned on (instructions here).

Wi-Fi calls are not covered and will cost a per minute rate. We recommend turning Wi-Fi calling off from your phone’s settings while traveling.

Troubleshooting:

  1. If you have the option to select your carrier, change from Automatic to Specific Carrier and choose the local carrier.
  2. Perform a network reset from your settings.
  3. Call Verizon’s International Support Team at +1-908-559-4899. Please document the date and time you call in case the feature doesn’t work and we need to request a credit from Verizon. Verizon will only issue a credit if a call has been made to their Support Team for troubleshooting.
